About Us
What Makes Us Different
At ArtLab Studios, we put a large emphasis on the environment that the student is being taught in. The teaching environment will have peaceful lighting, a calm atmosphere and a kind teacher that is rooting for the students success. All students will be asked about their goals and musical interests during the first lesson and will be taught accordingly. We know that students do not need more homework, so while they will be given material and encouraged to play it throughout the week, they will not be put under extra pressure on top of school. In todays music industry, we believe that both classical and modern music training are required to be a well rounded musician. However, if the parent of the student would prefer only classical training, please mention it in the description when placing an order online and we will happily oblige! Additionally, the age and experience of a student will play a large factor in whether they receive more or less classical training.
Classical Training
All students will be taught about note names and values, key signatures, how to read sheet music, the circle of fifths, key classical composers, as well as several other fundamental principals of music.
Training For The Modern Industry
All students will be taught about the number system, chord charts, how to transpose a song quickly and how to navigate the modern music industry.

Hi! My name is Ren Jacobs, I am 19 and the owner of ArtLab Studios. I am a recording artist and producer, singer/songwriter, a classically trained vocalist, I have played guitar since I was 12, I have been recording and producing music since I was 10. I am currently studying Music Business at Dallas Baptist University.
